RECRUITMENT
The recruitment arm
of SFI developed in the early years of the company when consultancy
projects required the hiring of financing professionals into the bank or
hedge fund. This has evolved into a stand-alone core business area.
SFI offer a specialised service for hedge funds with specific emphasis on niche positions. Due to our market positioning, extensive network of contacts and industry reputation, we have access to the cream of investment banking talent and the star performers from the hedge fund arena.
We have recently added Sasha Jensen as a Partner to lead this area. Sasha was formerly of Rice & Dore. With Sasha’s arrival, SFI has broadened its focus somewhat. Whilst we are still active with the 'usual suspects' in the securities financing industry and hedge funds, we are undertaking searches for a wider universe of organisations.
By way of example, we currently have 9 retained assignments in the middle-east. We need to find 3 institutional sales people (one of which will be a COO of the region), 3 corporate finance and 3 structured product people – all must have sold to institutions in the region.
